After goals are assessed, consent forms are completed, and vitamin rich injection is administered with a small needle by the Spa Nurse Practitioner. After treatment, you may experience temporary, mild discomfort such as redness and slight irritation, and or hyper/hypopigmentation as standard with any laser hair removal.

Possible laser hair removal side effects include:

• Mild swelling around the hair follicles
• Pigment changes may occur, especially in those with darker skin – these changes are usually temporary
• Slight redness of the skin
• Temporary irritation resulting in blistering, crusting, scarring or other changes in skin texture

You will need to be treated approximately six times with 4-6 weeks between treatments. This is because there are three phases of hair growth – Anagen, Catagen and Telogen. Only the hairs in the growth phase, Anagen, can be successfully treated.

Fat Cavitation relies on ultrasound technology to break apart fat cells. The process starts with practitioner applying gel to skin then in circular motion with the applicator going over the treatment area in the flow of the lymphatic system. Ultrasound waves are sent deep into the layers of your skin, causing a disruptive vibration. Fat cells then break apart from each other and are dislodged from your dermal layers. After a few days, the fat cells are absorbed by your lymphatic system and drained as waste from your body. RF energy penetrates the skin layers to selectively heat the skin tissue where the collagen fibers are embedded. The local heating causes an immediate contraction of the collagen fibers while those all-important fibroblast cells are stimulated to produce new collagen and elastic fibers. Normally there are no side effects from the treatment, but some may find the treatment area is a little red post treatment but this usually resolves in about 30 minutes.
